Australian Disability Care Services (ADCS) is currently seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Disability Support Workers. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with disabilities to live fulfilling and independent lives.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in accordance with their individualized care plans.
- Assist participants with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks, while promoting independence and autonomy.
- Support Residents/NDIS participants in developing and maintaining life skills, social skills, and community integration.
- Foster a safe and supportive environment that respects the dignity, rights, and choices of individuals with disabilities.
- Assist with medication administration and monitoring, in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with participants, their families, and other members of the support team to ensure continuity and quality of care.
- Observe and report any changes in the health or behavior of participants, and respond appropriately to emergencies or crisis situations.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of Residents/NDIS participants progress, activities, and any incidents or concerns.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community service providers to ensure holistic and coordinated care for participants.
- Participate in training and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of disability support.
