Child Safety Commitment
At ADCS, the safety and wellbeing of children and young people are at the heart of everything we do. As a registered SSRC provider under the NSW Office of the Children’s Guardian, we uphold the highest standards to ensure a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for every child.
Our approach to child safety is integrated into our mission, values, policies, and daily practices. We are dedicated to protecting children by fostering a culture where safety is prioritised, risks are actively managed, and every child is respected and heard.
Creating a safe and inclusive environment where all children feel secure, valued, and supported.
Upholding a zero-tolerance policy towards abuse, ensuring any concerns or allegations are taken seriously and addressed in line with our strict procedures and legal obligations.
Meeting our legal and ethical responsibilities to report any concerns regarding a child’s safety to the appropriate authorities.
Preventing harm through early identification and proactive risk management.
Ensuring cultural safety, particularly for Aboriginal children and children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
Promoting participation and empowerment, supporting children to have a voice in decisions about their care and services.
Our recruitment and staff development practices reflect our unwavering commitment to child safety. Every team member undergoes thorough screening, training, and ongoing education to identify, prevent, and respond to any potential risks.
ADCS also ensures that all practices are in line with the SSRC Code of Practice, maintaining our accountability as a trusted care provider.
